Digital tools that allows students to use text and images, such as graphic design tools are great a way to increase student engagement and interest.
CANVA
Canva is a great graphic design tool for text and images to use in the classroom. It offers a plethora of templates to create posters, marketing material, social media posts, infographics, etc. It is suitable for all learning types, and allows the student to express their creativity through creating original works of art. It, also, provides opportunities for differentiated with the vast number of different graphics available. Providing choice can increase students’ motivation (Robb, 2020).

Students can choose the graphic that best fits their interest from the various types of graphics, such as posters, infographics, pamphlets, etc. According to the Scholastic website, providing choice can increase students’ motivation (Robb, 2020).

Special Considerations
You have to have an upgraded paid subscription for some features and graphics. However, there is a good amount of graphics available on the free version. Also, Canva offers Canva for Education, which allows students and teachers access to the paid features. However, teachers have to apply and be approved for Canva for Education.
